4th Annual Buddy Walk at Southside Park, October 4th 2008
- Enjoy the fun and interactive show of The Chris Burke Band, starring Chris Burke with Joe and John Demasi.
- Watch a fun filled puppet show created and performed by Dusty Dutton of Dusty's Puppets.
- Move to the groove of Bessie Barth, local music therapist and owner of "Music To Grow On" here in Sacramento.
- Explore the new interactive kid's zone featuring carnival games for kids of all ages!
- Gather information at the resource fair featuring local companies and organizations.
- Help the DSIA raise funds to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome in our local area by walking with us!
- The walk is only 1 mile long, and proceeds benefit local programs!
- Form a team or come alone.
- If you bring a buddy and encourage your buddy to bring a buddy and so on, then more people will see that people with down syndrome are “more alike than different.”
- This year’s fundraising goal is $50,000! If 500 people attend, and each gets $100 in pledges, we will achieve our goal!
